I really want to play a tank in WoW classic - I tried getting into it before but redridge mountains was just chaos incarnate - could barely move two steps without getting ganked for 2 months straight. Go for Silvermoon/Ravencrest. Basically having the most people on your faction on the server is the most important. Advantages are that you get more guilds, more people in cities and trade chat, and a healthy economy (though that is not faction-specific). Nagrand is pre good, its also linked with Caelestrasz so the split pre much becomes 50/50 give or take 10-15%. Tons of guilds and players migrated off realm after those changes, many went to WrA for RP. Warmane is not highly regarded here at all. All but one of the realms is completely P2W, and the PvP is cross-realm so you'll be at a huge disadvantage anyways. Not sure what the split is though. It's almost entirely Alliance. Stormrage.It is the best private server I've ever played. Dalaran-Wow has been my default server for the past 6-7 years, and it is great too, just low pop now. The main reason I have enjoyed both is both are well-scripted servers, and have healthy economies. Class Design:WRA Horde may have more population but that is where the generalizations ends. Walk up RP is present but it is 50/50 in whether it'll be good or bad (Same on MG Alliance.) Community is more separate with no real equivalent of Warcraft Conquest or Coalition from MG (and MG Horde respectively.) MG Alliance is more or less the same like WRA Horde ... Emerald Dream is your best bet for balanced and active. It's been tilting more to horde pretty strongly since BFA and warmode after being nearly perfectly 50/50 during WoD and much of Legion but it's still far better then the other rp servers. It IS however a former Rp-PvP server which means it's roleplay community is not quite what others will be..
